Santa Monica 26, Paso Robles 14--James Cooper passed for two touchdowns and ran for two more and the Vikings made it to their first section final since 1982 with the Division X semifinal victory at War Memorial Stadium in Paso Robles.

The Vikings face Ocean League rival North Torrance in the final.

Cooper, a senior quarterback, put Santa Monica ahead with two third-quarter touchdowns. He broke a 14-14 tie with a 27-yard touchdown pass to Charles Gordon. Four minutes later, Cooper ran in from one yard.

Cooper completed 14 of 22 passes for 261 yards. Cooper scored on a one-yard scoring run and later scrambled from 22 yards on a fourth-and-goal play. Gordon had six receptions for 127 yards.
