The first of a slew of stakes over the next four days at Belmont Park begins with the $75,000 Fashion for 2-year-old fillies and the $100,000 Meadowbrook for steeplechasers.

Of the six entered in the Fashion, Bikini Wiggle was the most impressive winner. Owned by the Win and Place Stable and trained by the high-percentage Anthony Dutrow, the daughter of Salt Lake won at first asking by nearly eight lengths April 30 at Aqueduct.

A $215,000 purchase earlier this year, the Kentucky-bred completed the 4 1/2 furlongs in 52 flat and the effort looked even better when Rodeo Licious, the runner-up, returned to win by 4 3/4 lengths two weeks later. Rodeo Licious also is entered in the Fashion.

The field for the five-furlong race also includes Renaissance Lady, who won in her debut. Owned by Bob and Beverly Lewis and trained by Wayne Lukas, the daughter of A.P. Indy out of the Storm Cat mare Storm Beauty won by two lengths April 23 at Keeneland after breaking last in the field of 11. She will be ridden today by Jerry Bailey.

The Meadowbrook, a Grade I at 2 1/2 miles, attracted 11 jumpers, including Trebizond, who won the Hard Schuffle, which is also a Grade I, in his last start at Keeneland on May 1.

Trebizond is trained by Kathy Neilson and will be ridden by Tom Foley.

Race of the day: Christel Flame will be back with her own sex in today’s seventh at Hollywood Park, a $55,000 optional claimer at 1 1/4 miles on the turf. The race is the fifth leg of a pick six with a carryover of $103,343, but four of the races in the sequence have fields of six entrants or fewer.

One for the road: Seamster steps up two levels after a five-length win in today’s third at Bay Meadows and should be tough after being claimed for $16,000 by Bill Morey. Francisco Duran will ride the 3-year-old Native Regent colt in the six-furlong race.

Exotically speaking: A pick four using First Insight and Kedington in the fifth, singling Castlebright in the sixth, Christel Flame and Top Spinner in the seventh and all in the eighth.

Winners: Previous day/meet total: 1/84. Money: Previous day/meet total: $6.20/$473.80. Total money bet: $534.
