Pina punch

Place the pineapple and simple syrup in a rocks glass, and muddle the fruit. Add some ice, then the cachaca. Fill the glass with club soda. Stir the mixture with a straw, then squeeze a lime wedge into the drink and add it to the glass.

From Cole Berlin, bartender from Boa steakhouse in West Hollywood. Make simple syrup by combining equal amounts of water and sugar and simmering until the sugar dissolves.
