Pour the orange juice, lemon juice, rye and grenadine into a shaker filled with ice. Shake and pour into a cocktail glass.

This is one of the few 19th century cocktails still being made. A variation on a whiskey sour, it was named by a Boston politician to honor the ward that elected him. From “The Savoy Cocktail Book” by Harry Craddock (1930).
