Baseball: Hart right-hander Paul Richan makes big impression

During last weekend’s Southwest Future All-Star Series at Pepperdine, tournament director Frank Mutz said the most impressive pitcher was Hart right-hander Paul Richan, a returning all-Foothill League performer.
Richan, who Mutz said was throwing 90 mph, will combine with another returning all-league pitcher, Jack Ralston, to give Hart an imposing one-two combination in 2015.
Moorpark catcher Griffin Mazur, who was injured last season, also made a favorable impression, along with Loyola pitcher Ben Post, who was used sparingly last season.
