Baseball: Parker Joe Robinson displays power in JSerra victory

Texas-bound Parker Joe Robinson displayed power on Monday, hitting a three-run home run to lead JSerra past Foothill, 6-1.

Jake Pries added two RBIs. Clay Chatham struck out six and allowed one hit in four innings.

San Clemente defeated Santa Margarita, 4-3. Chris Puckett struck out eight in a complete game and drove in the winning run.

Glendora (5-0) won the Don Lugo tournament championship with a 5-2 win over Oak Hills. Nick Kaye had two hits and two RBIs. RJ Romo had two hits. Kale Morton struck out six in seven innings.

Esperanza is 3-0 after a 3-2 win over Bishop Amat. Tristan Hildebrandt had three hits and Harrison Pyatt hit a home run.

Rece Goodman threw a complete game in Mater Dei’s 5-1 win over Trabuco Hills. Freshman Jonathan Schiffer had two hits and two RBIs.

Freshman Hagen Danner struck out three in one inning in Huntington Beach’s 3-1 win over Palm Desert. Jesse Kuet, Cooper Moore, Tyler Murray and Dan Amaral each had two hits.

Jake Hazard had two hits and two RBIs in Beckman’s 7-2 win over Tesoro, which dropped to 4-1.

Justin Goossen-Brown had a two-run double and Michael Wilson picked up the pitching victory in Sherman Oaks Notre Dame’s 3-1 win over St. Bonaventure. Freshman Hunter Greene made his pitching debut, giving up one run.

Riverside North defeated Woodcrest Christian, 3-2. Ray Delgado threw the complete game.

Gahr is 3-0 after a 13-11 victory over Capistrano Valley. Ayala defeated El Rancho, 5-3.

Alonzo Garcia struck out eight in San Fernando’s 4-2 win over Roosevelt. He also had a double and two RBIs.

South East opened its season with a 7-0 win over Contreras. Eduardo Padilla threw a no-hitter.
