Baseball: The rise of Dana Hills

Dana Hills used to be in Southern Section Division 1, where Mater Dei was always a road block. Now the Dolphins are in the Division 2 Sea View League, ranked No. 1 in Division 2 and are 22-5 entering this week’s games with San Clemente.
Reid Lundeen, a junior outfielder, is batting .359 with 17 RBIs. Louis Raymond, a senior outfielder-pitcher, is batting .350 with 18 RBIs. Shawn Kany, a sophomore infielder, has 25 hits and 17 RBIs.
Raymond is 8-2 with a 2.02 ERA. Junior Marrick Crouse is 6-1 with a 1.81 ERA.
Division 2 is almost as tough as Division 1 this season, but Dana Hills is showing it belongs.
