Boys’ basketball: Loyola improves to 18-1

Parker Jackson-Cartwright scored 19 points, Max Hazzrd had 17 and Thomas Welsh contributed 18 points and 10 rebounds in Loyola’s 67-48 victory over El Camino Real on Saturday in the final game of the Fairfax State Preview Classic. Loyola is 18-1.

Kyron Cartwright scored 22 points in Compton’s 73-55 win over Bishop Montgomery. Gardena Serra defeated Fairfax, 72-54. Serra has won seven consecutive games. Ron Freeman scored 21 points and Tavrion Dawson had 20. Chino Hills defeated Windward, 77-62. Lonzo Ball and Bishop Mency each had 18 points for Chino Hills. Freshman Jalen Harris scored 24 points for Windward.

Freshman Cody Riley had 25 points and sophomore Deveral Ramsey had 24 points in Sierra Canyons’ 74-64 win over Harvard-Westlake.

Tra Holder and Maxwell Kupchak each scored 24 points in Brentwood’s 80-53 win over Santa Monica. Jonah Mathews led Santa Monica with 19 points.

Nick Springer scored 14 points in Maranatha’s 49-48 win over Rolling Hills Prep. Jackie Davis had 18 points for Rolling Hills. Price defeated Torrey Pines, 69-53. James Washington had 17 points.
