Boys’ basketball: St. Francis gets first home victory in two years

Share

St. Francis celebrated its first home victory in more than two years on Friday night when the Golden Knights rallied for a 48-44 win over Chaminade in a Mission League game.

St. Francis’ first-year coach, Todd Wolfson, won a state title at Chaminade. He left to take over a program that went winless in league play last season.

St. Francis is 2-4 in league and 6-14 overall.

St. Francis students celebrated on the court afterward. Chaminade players who used to be coached by Wolfson were warmly greeting him.

The Golden Knights don’t have much time to feel good. They face first-place Crespi on Monday.
