Boys’ basketball: Summer season begins next week

Get ready for lots of summer basketball competitions beginning next week.
Starting on Tuesday and running through Saturday, Crespi is hosting a tournament that includes Damien, Santa Monica, Fairfax, Calabasas, Loyola and Mater Dei. Games will be played from 11 a.m. to 8 pm. Santa Monica plays Fairfax at 2 p.m. on June 12.
On June 12, Alemany is hosting a tournament that concludes on June 15. Maranatha, Redondo, El Camino Real, Loyola, Fairfax and Taft are among the schools entered.
The Westchester Summer Tip-Off turnament begins on June 16 with the championship game on Sunday, June 22.
Bishop Montgomery, Gardena Serra, Mater Dei, Hart, Redondo and Dorsey are among the teams competing.
The 32-team War on the Floor tournament will take place June 19-22 in Woodland Hills.
Then comes the Fairfax Summer Tournament, June 23-29.
The 32-team Buzz Elite tournament is set for June 30 through July 3 at Cerritos College. Long Beach Poly, JSerra, Bishop Montgomery, Gardena Serra and Maranatha top the teams entered.
