Football: JSerra’s Jim Hartigan receives contract extension through 2019-20

Football Coach Jim Hartigan of JSerra has received a contract extension through 2019-20, the school announced on Friday.

There had been speculation that Santa Margarita might be the next destination for Hartigan, who used to coach the Eagles.

“I am thrilled,” Hartigan said in a statement.

JSerra is expected to have one of the top teams in the Trinity League next season.

Hartigan, who also serves as athletic director, is one of the highest paid football coaches/athletic directors in Southern California.
