Football: JV Coach Irvin Davis to take over Dorsey program
- Share via
It appears that Dorsey Principal Reginald Sample has chosen junior varsity Coach Irvin Davis to take over the Dorsey football program after telling Coach Paul Knox that he would not be back as head coach earlier this week. Knox had been head coach since 1985.
According to a story in OurWeekly.com, Sample said about Davis, “He is somebody who I feel can lead us into the right direction. Not just for winning football games, but for setting a tone and expectations for how our students are supposed to conduct themselves, how academics comes first, and discipline.”
Davis has been Dorsey’s successful softball coach and is also a teacher on campus.
