Football: Lakewood Coach Jimmy Nolan will miss next game after ejection
- Share via
As if last week’s football game between Long Beach Millikan and Lakewood didn’t have enough controversy with a Millikan player kicking a helmetless Lakewood player and an alleged confrontation between a Lakewood parent and Millikan players in the locker room afterward, now comes word that Lakewood Coach Jimmy Nolan was ejected by the officials at the game’s conclusion.
Southern Section spokesman Thom Simmons confirmed the ejection and said Nolan cannot appeal. Nolan will have to miss Lakewood’s next game on Oct. 9 against Long Beach Wilson.
The schools and police continue to investigate the locker room incident.
