Football: Mission Prep won’t file complaint against Pomona

San Luis Obispo Mission Prep has decided not to file a formal complaint with the Southern Section over the decision of Pomona to cancel a scheduled game last week, Athletic Director Vic Ecklund said Tuesday.
Pomona will likely have to forfeit the game, but it also could have been responsible for “any expenses incurred” such as officials’ fees and stadium rental, according to the Southern Section Bluebook.
Ecklund said the school received a letter of apology from Pomona.
Instead of playing a game last Friday, Mission Prep players went to see the movie, “When the Game Stands Tall.”
