Football: Newbury Park is supporting young cancer survivor
Newbury Park’s football program has decided to participate in an inspiring program that matches childhood cancer survivors with a high school or college team for a season.
Cancer Fit, Inc. runs the free program that gives kids a positive outlet while they are on the road to recovery.
On Thursday, Newbury Park players and coaches will meet their “draft choice,” 13-year-old Brandon Taitai, who will be introduced during a gathering at the football stadium.
