Football: St. Francis is seeking its seventh consecutive victory

After helping Coach Jim Bonds win his 100th coaching victory last week against St. Paul, unbeaten St. Francis (6-0) will seek its seventh consecutive victory in a Mission League home game against Cathedral (5-1).

The game is important, because the winner figures to finish in third place in the Mission behind Serra and Chaminade. Of course, St. Francis still gets to play both of those schools in its final two regular-season games.

Cathedral suffered its first defeat last week to Chaminade.
