Track: League finals this week
There will be no more experimenting or taking it easy. Southern Section league track and field finals are scheduled this week, and if athletes want to make it to the Southern Section finals on May 24 at Cerritos College, it’s time to start producing.
At last week’s Ventura County championships, Ahmed Obed of Camarillo came through in winning the 100 in 10.76 and the 200 in 21.43. Simi Valley’s Alex Billing won the 110 highs in 14.19.
The Mission League finals are set for Thursday at Occidental College, and it will be a chance for Alemany’s Dominic Davis to show off his speed in the 100.
