National signing day: UCLA gets Times player of year Jaleel Wadood
Jaleel Wadood, a cornerback from Bellflower St. John Bosco High, signed a national letter of intent Wednesday with UCLA.
Wadood, who is 5 foot 11, 165 pounds, was the Los Angeles Times player of the year. Besides playing defense, he had 78 receptions and scored 21 touchdowns.
Wadood originally committed to California. USC, Oregon and Nebraska were among the schools that offered him a scholarship.
