Tiger Woods has made it official: His return to competition after more than a year off will take place next week.

The PGA Tour announced Friday that the former world No. 1 golfer had committed to play at the Safeway Open in Napa.

The Safeway Open, played at the Silverado Resort and Spa, is the first event of the PGA’s 2016-17 season. Woods missed all of the previous season and hasn’t played since August 2015.

On Sept. 7, Woods stated his intention to play at the event if all continued to go well with his rehabilitation from multiple back surgeries.

“My rehabilitation is to the point where I’m comfortable making plans, but I still have work to do,” Woods wrote on his website at the time. “Whether I can play depends on my continued progress and recovery. My hope is to have my game ready to go.”
