Cal Easily Beats Chapman Women

The California women’s basketball team defeated Chapman College in a nonconference game at Berkeley Thursday, 73-55.

Jennifer Bennett led the Bears with 24 points. Valerie Hartsfield and Karen Hirsch led the Panthers with 20 and 14 points, respectively.

Chapman (8-3) meets Montana tonight in the first round of the University of San Francisco Tournament.
