Reseda High School center Aggie Garcia had a team-high 15 points and 11 rebounds as the Regents won their second consecutive City girls’ 3-A basketball title with a 64-52 victory over North Hollywood Friday night at the Sports Arena.

It marked the fourth consecutive victory by Reseda over the Huskies, a West Valley League opponent.

Reseda twice defeated North Hollywood by a point in the regular season, and North Hollywood’s chances for an upset sagged when two forwards fouled out of the game in the fourth quarter.

“There’s no way you can play them with your best players in foul trouble,” North Hollywood Coach Rich Allen said. “They’re too good. And that was probably the best they played us all year.”

Garcia and forward Sharlene Cirrito, who had 14 points, combined to outscore the starting North Hollywood front line, 29-17. They also helped limit Sandrine Rocher, West Valley League co-player of the year, to 8 points--10 under her season average.
