College Roundup : Fullerton Tops Portland in Baseball

Freshman Huck Flener scattered 10 hits over seven innings to lead Cal State Fullerton to a 5-3 victory over Portland Sunday in a nonconference baseball game at Fullerton.

It was the 9th victory for Fullerton (14-7) in its last 10 games.

Hawaii 68, UC Irvine 66--Judy Mosley made a 10-foot jump shot at the buzzer to lead visiting Hawaii (11-15, 9-9). Natalie Crawford had 24 and Cheryl Eiland 12 for Irvine (14-13, 8-10).

In California Collegiate Athletic Assn. men’s tennis:

Chapman 6, Cal State Bakersfield 3--Miles Walker defeated Nelson Banes, 6-2, 6-1, to lead visiting Chapman (8-5, 6-0), which won five of six singles matches.
