Orel Hershiser of the Dodgers has added a Gold Glove to his Cy Young Award and World Series most valuable player trophy.

Other National League winners of the 1988 award for fielding excellence include catcher Benito Santiago of the San Diego Padres, first baseman Keith Hernandez of the New York Mets, second baseman Ryne Sandberg of the Chicago Cubs, third baseman Tim Wallach of the Montreal Expos, shortstop Ozzie Smith of the St. Louis Cardinals and outfielders Andre Dawson of the Cubs, Eric Davis of the Cincinnati Reds and Andy Van Slyke of the Pittsburgh Pirates.

American League winners include Angel outfielder Devon White and catcher Bob Boone (now with the Kansas City Royals), pitcher Mark Langston of the Seattle Mariners, first baseman Don Mattingly of the New York Mets, second baseman Harold Reynolds of the Seattle Mariners, third baseman Gary Gaetti of the Minnesota Twins, shortstop Tony Fernandez of the Toronto Blue Jays and outfielders Gary Pettis of the Detroit Tigers and Kirby Puckett of the Minnesota Twins.
