Following are last week’s top collegiate football performances by South Bay high school graduates: Ken Sale, Texas-El Paso, senior: The former Bishop Montgomery linebacker had three interceptions, returning one 27 yards for a touchdown, and 14 tackles in a 34-31 loss to San Diego State. It was the second-best, single-game interception mark in UTEP history.

Faasamala Tagaloa, UC Berkeley, senior: The former Bishop Montgomery wide receiver had touchdown catches of six and 30 yards in a 25-14 loss to Oregon State. Tagaloa leads the Bears with four TDs this season.

George Malauulu, Arizona, freshman: The former Carson quarterback, making his first start for the Wildcats, completed five of seven passes for 110 yards and one touchdown, and ran 38 yards for another score in a 38-14 win over Pacific.

Errol Sapp, Arizona, freshman: The former Carson running back rushed for 71 yards on 11 carries in the Wildcats’ victory.

Leroy Holt, USC, senior: The former Banning fullback gained 45 yards on 14 carries and scored the Trojans’ second touchdown on a five-yard run in a 19-0 win over Stanford.

Marvcus Patton, UCLA, senior: The former Leuzinger linebacker had nine tackles, two sacks, two caused fumbles and two hurried passes in a 28-27 loss to Washington.

Corey Brown, Washington, sophomore: The former Morningside linebacker earned the Huskies’ “Big Hit” award for the week with his play on special teams against UCLA.
