Share

When the Chatsworth High girls’ volleyball team fell behind early against Westchester on Wednesday, the Chancellors looked like anything but the top-seeded team in the City Section 4-A Division playoffs.

Chatsworth trailed by six points in the first game before rallying for a 15-11, 15-8, 15-7, quarterfinal win at Chatsworth.

After trailing, 8-2, in the first game, the Chancellors scored the next nine points, three on kills by middle blocker Lori Mertes, who led the team with nine. Daisy Sudparid had six service aces.
