HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL PLAYOFFS : Southern Section

Agoura stretched La Habra to five games before falling, 9-15, 16-14, 15-12, 10-15, 15-7, in the 3-A final at Marina High. In the fifth and deciding game of the match, La Habra built a 7-2 lead, but watched Agoura rally to close to 8-7.

The Highlanders had trouble returning Agoura’s next serve until Zrinka Kristich turned her back to the net, stretched her right arm as far as it would go and slapped the ball overhead, barely clearing the net.

From that point, it was all La Habra.
