La Mirada 27, La Habra 13--Quarterback Mike Moschetti threw four touchdown passes for host La Mirada to the nonleague victory. La Habra (2-2) played without running back Jason Johnson, who sprained a knee last week against Los Altos and is not expected to return until the Highlanders’ Freeway League opener.
Brethren Christian 28, St. Monica 0--The Brethren Christian defense allowed only two total yards, nine yards passing and minus seven rushing. Keith Washington rushed for 148 yards on 16 carries and one touchdown for Brethren Christian (4-0).
Whittier Christian 53, Verbum Dei 25--Running back Aaron Meschuk gained 230 yards in 18 carries and scored five touchdowns at Whittier College.
Southern California Christian 34, Sherman Indian 0--Dennis Amundson rushed for 114 yards and two third-quarter touchdowns to lead the Flames (4-1) at Sherman Indian.
