Ventura 35, Dos Pueblos 7--Tailback Derek Swafford rushed for 197 yards in 20 carries, including a 61-yard score on the second play of the game, to lead host Ventura to its fourth consecutive win.

The Cougars (4-1, 2-0) scored touchdowns on three of their first four possessions to build a 19-0 halftime lead. Ventura’s Devon Passno gained 65 yards in 12 carries, including scoring runs of one and three yards, and cornerback Brandon Small returned an interception 78 yards in the fourth quarter to give Ventura a 29-7 lead. Ventura amassed 328 yards in total offense to 225 for Dos Pueblos (0-5, 0-2).
