Capistrano Valley’s Airey Commits to LMU

Tom Airey of Capistrano Valley High School has made an oral commitment to play basketball at Loyola Marymount, Cougar Coach Mark Thornton said Thursday.

Airey, a six-foot guard, averaged 15.4 points per game last season. He set an Orange County single-season record with 124 three-point field goals, which was the third most in Southern Section history.

Airey was also recruited by USC, St. Mary’s and St. Joseph’s.
