Bishop Diego 19, Fillmore 14--The Cardinals took advantage of two Fillmore fumbles to take a 13-0 lead six minutes into the game at Fillmore, and they never trailed.
Bishop Diego (4-3) scored on a 17-yard pass from Richie Donati to Ben Rivera, and Thor Schmidt kicked the extra point. Dave Barrios recovered a Fillmore fumble moments later and ran the ball 36 yards for a touchdown. Schmidt’s extra-point attempt failed.
The Flashes (2-5) scored in the second quarter on a two-yard run by Rey Garnica. The drive was set up when Fillmore’s Danny Ocegueda’s blocked a punt and Fillmore took over at the Bishop Diego 12-yard line.
