Brethren Christian 8, Capistrano Valley Christian 7--Ed Carlson had two hits, two RBIs and a run scored for Brethren Christian (8-5, 5-3).
In the Academy League:
Liberty Christian 11, St. Michael’s 0 (5 innings, mercy rule)--Joe Ruiz pitched a no-hitter, striking out 10, and faced one batter over the minimum for the Minutemen (10-6, 3-1).
In the Century League:
El Modena 18, Canyon 13--Ryan Holmes had four hits including a double, a three-run home run, and five RBIs for visiting El Modena (6-14, 4-6), which beat first-place Canyon (12-8, 6-4) for the second consecutive day.
Orange 11, Villa Park 4--Gilbert Gonzales (2-2) allowed four hits in five innings and helped Orange (10-10, 6-4) move into a first-place tie with Canyon.
Santa Ana Valley 2, Foothill 1--Rick Crosby allowed five hits in five innings to earn the victory for Santa Ana Valley (9-11, 5-5).

Heritage Christian 12, Claremont 0 (5 innings, mercy rule)--Ryan Drabek (1-1) pitched a one-hitter with eight strikeouts for Heritage Christian (4-2, 2-0).
In the Pacific Coast League:
Laguna Hills 8, Costa Mesa 2--Mike Messinger had two doubles, a triple, and three runs scored for visiting Laguna Hills (13-8, 9-1).
Trabuco Hills 19, Estancia 2--Brian Blake’s three-run homer in the sixth inning led a 16-hit attack for host Trabuco Hills (8-8-1, 5-3-1).
In the Sunset League:
Edison 7, Santa Ana 4--Todd Belitz had three hits, three runs scored and one RBI for Edison (17-3, 9-0).
Fountain Valley 5, Ocean View 4-- Brian Ponchak hit a two-run homer and Danny Hoppie hit a three-run homer for host Fountain Valley (17-4, 8-1).
Servite 14, Marina 13 (8 innings)--Eric Ramirez, who had four RBIs, scored the winning run on a bases-loaded two-out single in the eighth by left fielder Mike Sullivan for Servite (6-13, 3-6).
