No shortage of perfect endings: Narbonne leads parade of 10-0 teams into playoffs

On the final night of the regular season in high school football, there were lots of teams finishing 10-0.
Harbor City Narbonne (10-0), set to be the No. 1 seed in the City Section Division I playoffs, won the Marine League championship with a 66-7 win over Banning. Jalen Chatman had a 79-yard touchdown run and finished with three touchdown passes and two TD runs.
Santa Ana Mater Dei (10-0) locked up the No. 1 seed in Southern Section Division 1 and won the Trinity League championship with a 59-7 victory over JSerra. J.T. Daniels had four first-half touchdown passes and Chase McGrath kicked a 51-yard field goal to lead the Monarchs to a 52-7 halftime lead.
Los Angeles Cathedral (10-0) won the Angelus League title with a 56-0 win over Studio City Harvard-Westlake. The Phantoms were without Coach Kevin Pearson, who was suspended for a week for shoving a player in a game against St. Francis.
Calabasas (10-0) won the Camino League title with a 42-35 win over Moorpark. Nikko Hall of Calabasas prevented a potential game-tying score by stripping the ball out of the hands of a Moorpark receiver in the end zone on fourth down with 22 seconds left.
Hacienda Heights Los Altos (10-0) won the Hacienda League title with a 24-0 win over West Covina.
Rancho Cucamonga (10-0) won the Baseline League championship with a 45-7 win over Chino Hills.
Heritage (10-0) won the Citrus Belt League championship with a 35-13 win over Paloma Valley.
Sierra Canyon (10-0) won the Gold Coast League with a 35-7 win over Paraclete.
Pasadena Poly (10-0) concluded a perfect regular season and won the Prep League with a 41-6 win over Trinity Classical.
Van Nuys Grant (10-0) won the East Valley League with a 50-20 win over North Hollywood. It’s a major accomplishment for a team that was down to 17 players last week.
Gardena Serra (7-3) finished unbeaten in the Mission League after a 35-24 victory over Mission Hills Alemany.
Tesoro clinched a Division 1 playoff berth with a 49-7 win over Trabuco Hills. Anaheim Servite also appears headed to the playoffs despite finishing sixth in the Trinity with a 4-6 record after a 49-24 loss to Santa Margarita.
Southern Section playoff pairings will be announced on Sunday. City Section pairings will be decided on Saturday.
