La Mirada is No. 1 in preseason Southern Section Division 1 baseball rankings

La Mirada is the No. 1 baseball team in the Southern Section preseason Division 1 rankings produced by the coaches.

With top juniors Jared Jones and Emilio Morales on the mound and top catcher Darius Perry behind the plate, La Mirada starts out with the experience and talent at key positions. La Mirada opens its season on Saturday at Servite.

Orange Lutheran is No. 2 and Harvard-Westlake No. 3.

Maranatha is No. 1 in Division 2 and Monrovia No. 1 in Division 3.
