Baseball: San Dimas improves to 27-0

Going unbeaten at any level is impressive, and San Dimas is one game away from a perfect regular season in baseball. The Saints improved to 27-0 on Monday with a 13-0 win over Hacienda Heights Wilson.

Jacob Castillo (10-0) struck out 12 and allowed two hits. Tommy Acuna had four RBIs. Logan Muratalla and Jonathan Longtin each had two hits.

In the Palomares League, Bonita defeated Ayala, 4-2, to stay in the title hunt.

Foothill clinched the North Hills League title behind pitcher Soren Yarnall.

Yarnall threw the shutout in a 2-0 win over Yorba Linda. Foothill is 21-7 and 10-0.

Anaheim Canyon defeated Esperanza, 5-3. Jordan Wisner had two hits.

In the Trinity League, JSerra clinched the championship with a 9-5 win over Santa Margarita. Sam Cohen and Lyle Lin had two hits apiece. Brady Shockey had two RBIs. Nick Meyer had three hits for Santa Margarita.

Mater Dei pulled into a tie for third place with Santa Margarita after a 3-2 win over Servite. Orange Lutheran defeated St. John Bosco, 3-0, behind Chris Burica, who threw a four-hitter, striking out six.

Trabuco Hills defeated El Toro, 11-7. Ryan Kearney contributed four RBIs and Chad Crosbie had three hits.

Burroughs defeated Muir, 13-4. Jason Whaley had two hits and three RBIs.

Sierra Canyon won its 20th game with a 27-0 win over McAuliffe. Karl Kani and Christian Hernandez each had three hits.

St. Paul defeated Cathedral, 2-1, in the Del Rey League.

In the Montview League, Justin Padilla went three for three in Baldwin Park’s 11-0 win over Workman. Josue Escamilla threw a four-hit shutout.
