Baseball: Servite stays hot in Trinity League with win over Mater Dei

Anaheim Servite isn’t going away in the Trinity League baseball race.
With Tyler Armour throwing six strong innings, Gabriel Teposte contributing two hits and Connor Clancy getting two RBIs, the Friars (9-5, 3-1) knocked off Santa Ana Mater Dei, 7-1, on Monday.
Brandon Moore struck out six in five innings and Jesus Mercado had three hits in St. John Bosco’s 6-5 win over Orange Lutheran. Reid Budrovich threw two shutout innings of relief.
UCLA-bound Griffin Canning of Santa Margarita handed JSerra its first loss in Trinity League play, pitching the Eagles past the Lions, 4-3. Canning allowed five hits in a complete game. JJ Carr had a home run, single and two RBIs. Parker Joe Robinson struck out six in six innings for JSerra.
