Boras Classic: Temecula Valley wins South Division championship

Temecula Valley improved to 12-1 on Saturday in defeating Vista Murrieta, 4-1, in the South Division championship game of the Boras Classic at Mater Dei.
Kyle Plantier and Drew Seelman each had two hits and A.J. Sawyer had two RBIs. Isaiah Moten struck out five and allowed one run in six stellar innings on the mound. Jared Morton picked up the save. Hunter Tidwell had three hits for Vista Murrieta.
Temecula Valley returned nine starters from last year’s Division 2 runner-up team and is living up to expectations.
Davis Wendzel went three for three with a home run in JSerra’s 6-0 win over Valencia. Parker Joe Robsion also homered for the Lions. Chino Hills defeated San Dimas, 4-2.
Mater Dei defeated Glendora, 13-1, in the third-place game. Austin Reyes hit a three-run home run. Brett Olson had three hits.
