Boys’ basketball: Loyola’s Jamal Adams turns down college offer

Share

Loyola Coach Jamal Adams said he was offered an assistant coach’s position at Columbia, his alma mater, but has decided to stay with the Cubs. He has a son, Jerod, who will be a senior at Loyola.

“I was flattered and humbled,” Adams said. “Not many high school coaches get an offer like that. It wasn’t the right time for my family.”

Adams just completed his ninth season as head coach at Loyola.
