A year ago, quarterback Brandon Dawkins of Oaks Christian suffered his worst high school football game against Crenshaw, throwing five interceptions in a 13-2 loss.
Given a second chance on Friday night, Dawkins delivered. The Arizona-bound senior passed for 454 yards and five touchdowns in a 45-35 victory.
Receiver Chris Davis had 11 catches for 225 yards and three touchdowns.
Crenshaw quarterback Ajene Harris passed for 213 yards and ran for 151 yards.
Crenshaw (1-3), playing the toughest nonleague schedule of any City Section team, still has to face top-ranked St. John Bosco next Friday at St. John Bosco.
