Football: San Fernando receivers can’t wait for season to begin
- Share via
When your quarterback passed for 3,064 yards and 28 touchdowns as a junior and you’re a receiver, you can’t wait for the new season to begin.
That’s the excitement at San Fernando, where receivers Charles Bell and Jose Camargo return ready to catch passes again from Cristian Solano and perhaps set passing records that will be hard to duplicate in Tiger lore.
Camargo caught 53 passes for 1,058 yards last season. Bell caught 20 passes for 692 yards.
There’s other receivers to watch in the City Section. David Williams of Dorsey will be a scholarship athlete.
London Bell of Birmingham is the fastest teenager in school and had 11 touchdowns last season.
Don’Yeh Patterson transferred to Narbonne and could be an immediate weapon for the Gauchos.
Jose Bautista of Lincoln caught 25 passes and had four TD catches last season.
