Girls’ volleyball: Taft rallies for City Division II title

Taft has pulled off many monster comebacks under Coach Arman Mercado but perhaps none as improbable as Saturday’s 20-25, 22-25, 25-18, 25-19, 15-9 victory over Venice in the City Section Division II final at Roybal Learning Center.
Andrea Bosnic and Amanda Park each had 20 kills and Negin Akhavan had 42 assists for the Toreadors.
In the Division III final, Eagle Rock beat Verdugo Hills in five sets and LACES beat Elizabeth Learning Center in three sets in the Small School final.
