Think you’re a Tim Tebow expert? Or just feeling lucky? Here’s your chance to prove it.
Tebow is now an outfielder for the New York Mets, and the organization recently announced it would send off the former 29-year-old Heisman winner to the Arizona Fall League (AFL) this offseason.
Although he didn’t have quite the luck transitioning from college football to the NFL, his fortunes could change in the MLB. And now you can bet on it.
Bookmaker.eu has released odds on what might unfold when Tebow makes his first plate appearance next week in the AFL, and how he’ll do generally during league play. Here’s a look at where the odds stand as of now:
Result of Tebow’s first at-bat in the AFL
Fly out +250
Ground out +280
Hit (single, double, triple, home run) +300
Hit by pitch +2500
Tebow total strikeouts during the first 20 at-bats
OVER 7.5 (+140)
UNDER 7.5 (-180)
Tebow OPS (on-base plus slugging) after first 20 at-bats in AFL
OVER .550 (-200)
UNDER .550 (+160)
Tebow total hits during first 20 at-bats in the AFL
OVER 5.5 (+180)
UNDER 5.5 (-230)
The oddsmakers do not expect too much out of Tebow in his first plate appearance in the AFL. But remember, he did hit a home run off his first plate appearance during his first instructional game.
