LOS ALAMITOS : Tracy’s Comet Faces Tough Test in Queen’s Beach
Patricia and William Monroe’s Tracy’s Comet will put her three-race winning streak on the line Thursday night at Los Alamitos when she tackles the Desomer Stable Inc.’s Queen’s Beach and seven others in the $20,000 California Platinum Series Final for fillies and mares.
Queen’s Beach could score an upset over Tracy’s Comet, with Cheryl Andy picking up the show money from the field of nine.
Queen’s Beach almost defeated Tracy’s Comet in the second leg of this series, and last Thursday she beat Sassy Sapphire by a neck while stopping the clock in a lifetime best 1:59 4/5.
Cheryl Andy has the look of an upsetter. She has been chasing Tracy’s Comet around since mid-December while putting up some good races of her own.
First post Thursday night will be at 7:30 p.m.
People over age 62 will be admitted free to the grandstand, and general admission parking is free.
