Kid Rock is “beyond devastated” by the death of Mike Sacha, his personal assistant, in an ATV accident in the wee hours Monday at the entertainer’s home in Nashville.

“He was a member of our family and one of the greatest young men I have ever had the pleasure to not only work with, but also to become friends with,” the rocker said in a statement.

Kid Rock and a friend discovered Sacha’s body late Monday morning after they couldn’t find him in the house and started looking outside.

Sacha, 30, had driven a couple of cookout guests in the all-terrain vehicle to meet their Uber driver around midnight, the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department said in a statement. Then he headed back up the driveway to the house owned by the singer, whose real name is Robert Ritchie.

“While riding the ATV back toward the residence, Sacha apparently lost control and crashed,” police said. The death was deemed an accident.

“I know I speak for us all in sharing my deepest condolences to his family. I can not imagine how they must feel,” said Kid Rock, who plans to stay in Tennessee, instead of returning to Michigan as previously planned, until Sacha’s body can be returned to his family. “Myself, the band, our family, friends and co-workers are devastated over this loss.”

The rocker said his team had been been contacted by the media inquiring if it was him who had been in the accident.

“I want to stop any rumors before they spread. ... RIP Mike,” he said. “We will never forget you, my friend.”
